Apc Vows to end the reign of Pdp in Edo state
The All Progressive Congress (APC) leaders ,ably led by the Vice President Kashim Shettima alongside the Senate president Godswill Akpabio,Governor of Imo state Hope Uzodimma, Cross River Governor Bassey Edet Otu,Ondo Governor Lucky Eiyadatiwa and the chief executive of Nasarawa state Abdullahi Sule were in Benin Edo state capital yesterday to drum support for the Apc candidate in the upcoming Edo Gubernatorial election Senator Monday Okpebholo where they vowed to end the reign of Pdp in the state.
The Vice President during his speech at the university of Benin indoors sports complex,Ugbowo campus emphasized emphasized the need for Edo State to have a visionary leader with a compassionate and good heart.
Shettima expressed full confidence in Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, to bring democratic dividends to the people of the state and equally uplift the standard of living of the people
He encouraged the people to come out in their numbers and vote the APC candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo that they will never regret it.
The Senate President Godswill during his remarks also had full confidence in the candidacy of Senator Monday Okpebholo and his his running mate Dennis Idahosa to transform the fortunes of the good people of Edo and set them to greater heights.
Akpabio equally emphasized the importance of performance over mere eloquence, stating that actions speak louder than words.
He praised Okpebholo’s track record as a senator, affirming his capability to perform excellently when elected.
Adams Oshiomhole, the senator representing Edo North Senatorial District and the former Governor of the state criticized Governor Godwin Obaseki for being insensitive to the plight of the people of Edo and highlighted the lack of significant achievements during his eight-year tenure as governor.
Umar Ganduje, the party’s national chairman while speaking expressed concerns about the mismanagement of the state resources over the past eight years, citing issues such as insecurity and unemployment. He emphasized the need to vote for the APC to address these challenges and bring about positive turn around in the state
Okpebholo while addressing the crowd on what he intends to do when elected stated that he would employ 5000 teachers within his 100 days in office as governor of the state.
He also reassured market women of access to soft loans to enhance their businesses output and also expressed his resolve to constructing primary healthcare centers in all 192 wards of the state.
